just finished yellowface by R.F. Kuang and realized that alot of my favorite books share the same trait of having an annoying narrator or a narrator whos a bad person, anybody got any recs for books like these?
*Vernon God Little* by DBC Pierre is a great one. Very sarcastic kid narrating, but it’s hilarious.
*Heroes Like Us* by Thomas Brussig. The narrator is an annoying kid at first, but you watch him become an absolute nut.
*Holy Cow* by David Duchovny. The narrator is a cow. Expect words like ‘cray-cray’ and other awful attempts to be modern and cool. This one probably wins out of everything …

The Catcher in the Rye, J.D. Salinger. In about 50% of my rereads I can’t stand him. Then the pity kicks in.

I found Theo to be annoying in [The Goldfinch](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18655998) by Donna Tartt.
The Lesser Dead by Christopher Buehlman was a fun one that I didn’t expect.
