Hi!
Looking to get some new books for a sweet kid I am trying to adopt. She likes the Percy Jackson series and Ghost by Jason Reynolds.
She just turned 14 and has a lower reading level. I want to challenge her (she doesn’t seem to mind asking for help occasionally) but not frustrate her. I want her to be able to read and comprehend it independently as much as possible. I am sure once she moves in, she will want some alone time and I don’t want her always looking at a screen.
Stand alone books or a series (unfinished or finished) are all fine! I don’t think she would like graphic novels, though.
