Narrative non-fiction is one of my favorite styles of book. Band of brothers, unbroken, devil in the white city, prisoners of the castle are some of my favorites.
I’m interested in all periods of history but particularly:
– ancient civilizations
– wars throughout history
– NY mafia in the 70-80s

“I Heard You Paint Houses” by Charles Brandt is the book that the Scorsese movie “The Irishman” is based on. It’s nonfiction. It’s been on my “to be read” list for a while but no library I ever go to ever has it.
