I am turning 30 soon and are looking for fantasy books with more mature female leads. I am looking for females that do not ignore red flags, speak their mind and act more on logic then blind emotion. She shouldn’t instantly hook up with the first hot man she sees. Don’t get me wrong I like some action but only if its the appropriate time.
Fantasy wise I read anything from high fantasy, mythology, dragons, werewolfs, vampires etc.
I liked:
The Mistborn Sage by Brandon Sanderson
Circe by Madeline Miller
Ariadne Jennifer Saint
(Ofcourse I alredy read ACOTAR, The Empyrean, Hunger Games, Divergent but I don’t really wanna go back to that style)

If you liked Circe, you’d like [I think] Claire North’s Ithaca, which was what was happening with Penelope, Odysseus’ wife, whilst he was frolicking with Circe.
Men play only minor parts in this female-led book, and Penelope [ helped by Clytemnestra, Athene and Diana] are the stars here. Intelligent, yes, very!
Check out the Cass Leary series of books, starting with Burden of Truth. I enjoy that series, and it’s hard for me to imagine a female protagonist who’d be smarter than Cass Leary. The Audible version has an excellent narration.
