I’m new to Sci-fi and I would LOVE to get more into it after reading Gideon the Ninth!
I love dark dark stories. I just recently got into Fantasy and I love dark fantasy and grimdark fantasy (although I haven’t read much) My absolute favorite things to read about in fantasy are dark magic and ghosts I also absolutely love anything to do with demons & hell & the underworld.
Since i’m new to Sci-fi I was wondering If there were any books out there that had some of my favorite elements. I’m still unsure of the differences between Sci-fi and fantasy but since reading Gideon the Ninth my interest is peaked. After reading that my obsession with Necromancy started and that’s when I started to learn more about dark magic/dark arts.
I’ve never read percy jackson but Nico Di Angelo is a character that interests me because of these aspects (son of hades, plutonian, can see ghosts/touch ghosts, has a lot to do with death, can do necromancy) but it’s YA.
Here are some dark magics that I would love to read about if possible:
Necromancy
Blood magic
Bone magic
Death magic
Underworld magic
Undead magic (preferably ghosts or vampires)
and anything else similar to those above^
