I’m looking for something that is in line with my taste but maybe a little bit “easier”. I’m currently reading Pynchon’s Mason and Dixon and I’m not sure I’ll be able to go on, it’s just too complicated language-wise and plot-wise. At the same time, I’m not a big fan of novels that are too simple. I’ll just name some books that I’ve read more or less recently so I can give you an idea. I also read in Italian and French but I’ll just name books in English or commonly available in and English translation to make it easier. The list will focus on contemporary authors as I mainly read contemporary at the moment, but I’ve also read a lot of classics in the past and I’m open to get back on it, some examples of classics that I loved: the magic mountain, in search of lost time, crime and punishment, Oblomov, Mrs Dalloway
