Finished the Kicks series by Alex Morgan and The Academy by TZ Layton, looking for similar stuff although could be about any sport besides soccer. thanks!

If you’re open to middle grade graphic novels, Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson is excellent and very sports forward. About a girl discovering roller derby, learning to skate, and competing with a team.

I was impressed with Jason Reynold’s series on running, considering I have no interest in sports and can’t image that being interesting, but they were quite good. Ghost is the first one, but each book focuses on a different kid so I don’t think they need to be read in any particular order.
