All books I’ve ever read are non-fiction, mainly about science, space, physics… In part because I like those subjects, they are my hobbies and I love to feel that I’m understanding this vast world we live in. But I’ve also noticed a toxic mindset within myself that even in my free time, I feel the need to be “productive”. Now I want to get lost in a good story.
What science-fiction/fantasy book would you recommend me?

You might enjoy hard sci fi. The Xeelee Sequence for example. So far I have only read Raft and it was amazing. It was about humanity surviving in a universe where gravity was thousands of times stronger.
I also have been enjoying Michael Moorcock and Robert Howard. Elric of Melniboné and Conan the Barbarian have a lot of short but extremely fun stories. Very easy to read and great stories in general.
I really enjoyed Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. He also wrote The Martian, which is another good one.
