I often find myself picking up my favourite anthology to dive into a great short story. Sometimes I just need a break from a book, or I want to read a story between novels. Or I don’t have a lot of time to read but want something captivating. So you enjoy a good short story? If so which one? I have quite a few, but some of my favourites are, Bartleby the Scrivener by Herman Melville and Paul’s Case by Willa Cather. I would love to hear some recommendations.

Undocumented alien by Joyce Carol Oates, my favorite. Amazing story
My favorite short story of all time is There Will Come Soft Rains by Ray Bradbury. It was one of the first stories I could actually **see**, and I frequently re-read it because it sparks such joy for me.
Dorothy Parker. The answer is always Dorothy Parker.
