Now that these children are getting older, I’m interested to read things from their side of how having their lives documented affected them. Or just anything that’s come out about the reality of family vloggers.
For example, I’ve just seen a tweet about a TikTok parent who made a video about their daughter’s first period and made it a sponsored video. And another who has two children and called one of the something like “the weird one of the school” while calling her other one “popular” and used the money raised from the TikTok creator programme for that video to do bedroom makeovers for them.
I’m not looking for “child stars” or actors for this (eg I’m Glad My Mom Died”), more the children of internet personalities whose parents posted them online from a young age.
