I’m thinking a knight or a samurai type, a lone wolf against a corrupt world. Maybe our hero is jaded, or maybe they’re jovial. Ultimately though, they are uncompromising in what they believe to be Right.
I read a lot of the Drizzt and Forgotten Realms books growing up and I’m really looking for a hero like Drizzt I can cheer on against all odds. Hoping for a bit of a grittier world than the Forgotten Realms.
Recently have enjoyed Christopher Buehlman’s Blacktongue Thief, and anything Joe Abercrombie.
