I am looking for some books with a similar feeling while reading, in best case told in first person. Consequences of life choices, struggles to get along in a relationship, ups and downs in life etc etc.
Is there anything more like that (and just as well written)?

all of Kundera’s books are like that
I liked “The Book of Laughter and Forgetting” and “Immortality”
his “Identity” is quite good and also has a surprising dash of romanticism
I feel like Martin Ames’ London Fields is alittle like that, but I hated it
