I have no idea how, but Game of Thrones books basically defined my adolescent years. I’m used to books that are brutal, willing to kill anyone, and cruelty realistic. I’m looking for a fantasy/sci fi book where things actually work out, where the protagonists actually succeed, but still as rich in world as GoT. Just something well written with internal consistency and a little bit of hope. And age appropriate for an 18 year old, Percy Jackson was a bit too juvenile. Thanks!
