I’m a big fan of Showtime’s Yellowjackets (specifically the 90’s storyline) and am hoping to get some suggestions that have a similar vibe or themes? (I.e feral girlhood, cold settings, cults)
The Grace Year by Kim Liggett gave me major YJ vibes

Whilst it doesn’t have the 90’s storyline or feral girlhood, there’s two books which share many similarities to the core idea.
The first is *Lord of the Flies* which is about a group of children who are stranded on an island and have to survive.
The other is “Alive* which is actually a real story about a plane which crashed in the Andes and what unfolded over the ten weeks between crash and escape.

The Girls by Emma Cline isn’t as brutal as YJ but definitely some feral girlhood and major cult themes in it.
Also Brutes by Dizz Tate is not cults but very heavy on the feral girlhood and reminded me of YJ
