Suggest me a book that is a (fiction) mystery/thriller where a character is suspected of murder and has to go through interrogations, arrest, booking, trial, and sentencing. I find myself reading books that end when someone is arrested but I never get to see the trial. I have read (and adore) The Silent Patient, All the Sinners Bleed, Silence of the Lambs, and Tell Me What I Am. I am not the biggest Alice Feeney or Lisa Jewell fan but I am open to them if they have a book like what I’m requesting.

It’s not a thriller but Dorothy L Sayer’s Strong Poison is a wonderful 1930s mystery novel centered around a murder trial. One of my favorite books!
jar of hearts by Jennifer Hillier
A time to kill, John Grisham
His Bloody Project by Graeme Macrae Burnet
The Body in Question by Jill Clement
The Stranger by Albert Camus (not a thriller but still a great book)
