A simple question but whenever I ask google it usually gives me a lot of the same. I’ve never really delved into horror or read anything that incites the feelings one would associate with that genre. I just really want to read something that makes me feel scared or frightened. Even a book that is uncanny in a way that incites some level of fear. Anywhere from mildly disturbed to ‘shit my pants’ level of terror. I will take any recommendations sent my way. Please and Thank You!!!

*The Plague* (1947) by Albert Camus scared me into wondering how our society would handle a pandemic, then I got to watch it unfold.

*Command and Control* (2013) by Eric Schlosser – This investigative work explores the history of nuclear weapons and the challenges of command and control of nukes, shedding light on the risks and realities of the atomic age. It jumps back and forth between a story of a nuclear mishap in the U.S. and a bunch of interesting info about the technical and political aspects of nuclear power. Did you know a Titan missile is 9 stories tall? Nukes are fuckin scary things to have just chilling in your back yard
