I’ve only read the classics and although I couldn’t put down Count of Monte Cristo, it is definitely too dark for me now. my fave is probably Treasure Island. But I’m looking for a book that has the feeling of Konosuba…it’s an anime if anyone is familiar with it. It’s like a funny adventure with doofuses for characters and they get into trouble but find their way out through luck despite their stupidity lolll so maybe it’s like a satire of adventure stories or something like that. Also I really like the game of Aion which has the feeling of adventure and lore of a beautiful fantasy world. lol if there was a book that combined those two 😝
I am trying to read Furies of Calderon Codex Alera, its ok…but i want more lightheartedness or comedy.
also trying Lies of Locke Lamora, don’t really like it bc the whole orphan thing is not lighthearted or funny…

Hmmm…
I write pretty much only light-hearted fantasy, but it’s a fairly loaded term. Like it means different things to different people, plus my first book is 100% more light-hearted than my latest. Lies of Locke Lamora is a different kind of story. You might like Kings of the Wyld, though there were some bits that made me tear up. Orconomics might also be up your alley. Anything by Terry Pratchett as well.
However, you sound like you might enjoy light novels [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_novel](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Light_novel) of which there’s about 10 gigbillion on amazon. It’s not a genre I personally enjoy, but I know the people who do tend to read the absolute shit out of them.
