Okay yall, one of my favorite books as a pre-teen was the Gallagher Girls series, which, if you’ve never heard of it was essentially a spy boarding school. (Please refrain from judging me lol)
Now that I’m an adult I low key crave a similar story line. I like most spy based stories but the ones I always see recommended are a lot older/out of date. Does anyone know of any books that are similar? (Bonus points if there’s a little bit of romance)

Not quite spies but would you accept a heist? If so, “Portrait of a Thief” by Grace D. Li has everything you’re looking for.
If you were a fan of Ally Carter’s ‘Gallagher Girls’, she has recently released a book called “The Blonde Identity”. It’s essentially an adult(ish) version of her previous work.
Not sure if you’re still open to middle grade, but I’ve really enjoyed the [City Spies](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/80a7e831-1b5f-474d-9ab1-52fc68c0a325) series by James Ponti! Not quite the same vibe as Gallagher Girls, but fun nonetheless!
