I am not going define old since its definition is quite relative, but as I round the corner to age 50 I’m getting all the cliche mid age guy stuff— How did this happen so fast? Is this what life’s all about? Any genre, but really want to feel something. This is for a book club (of two) so extra points for books that are worth discussing.

Check out **”The Remains of the Day”** by Kazuo Ishiguro. It’s a Nobel-winning novel that explores the life of an aging butler and the choices he’s made in his life. It’s poignant and thought-provoking, and I’m sure it would spark some great discussions in your book club.
“Dandelion Wine” by Ray Bradbury was good, and the topic of aging and maturity was a central theme. “Something Wicked This Way Comes,” also by Bradbury, has this theme too but it’s more of a background theme.
