Now let me be clear, I’m not looking for more Thomas Pynchon recommendations. I’m specifically looking for fictional book with a hippie character and themes of the American 60’s counterculture. As far as I can tell Pynchon’s 2 books are the only of their kind and the only thing that seems to come close is the nonfiction literature of the 60’s counterculture, and semi-fiction in the case of fear and loathing in Las Vegas. So again if anyone knows any fictional books with a hippie characters and major 60’s American counterculture themes and motifs please let me know because I’m starting to think the only way I’ll be able to read another is if Pynchon himself decides to write another one himself.
