I just finished This is going to hurt by Adam Kay, and I don’t understand what’s the hype was all about.

reviews claimed this book to funny as hell and gut wrenching at the same time, I felt cringed and not so amused after reading some entries.
there was in fact few heartfelt moments though, but I wouldn’t say it was the best book I’ve read in my life.

Probably just not your type of humour. I haven’t seen anyone call it ‘the best book they’ve ever read’, but I did find it equal parts sad and funny.
