This was so corny to me. Mostly Zade, I found him so hypocritical. Like he saves women and children from predators and trafficking but does the same things those men do to Adeline? What? And Adeline was so stupid, girl get a grip. The writing was lazy, to Adeline’s stupidity and Zade’s random addiction to Adeline. Booktok love this book and my expectations were high do to that but it disappointed me. I was expecting a deep stalker romance that explores the human psychology something like that but it’s just a CnC fantasy(or people call it that). Nothing wrong with CnC, do whatever you want as long you consented to it. But HA isn’t CnC it’s just romanticizing sexual abuse.
It also has zero romance, “but the roses!!!”. The roses were the least romantic thing in that book. I just don’t get the hype, like how is this good? The sex scenes weren’t even good.
