My classroom is discussing windows and mirrors – books about a persons experience/identity that MIRRORS our own, or WINDOWS into a perspective we are unfamiliar with.
My student is having a hard time finding a book that mirrors his experience. He’s looking for a book about a character that identifies as a school aged person who is Indian-American (family grew up in India, but he was raised in USA)
