As title reads, finished Cryptonomicon, which I very much enjoyed, over a year ago and will be on a trip next month involving a long plane ride (8 hours). Haven’t traveled without young kids in awhile and looking forward to this plane ride almost as much as destination.
Love historical fiction yet hear Umberto Eco is dense and not the writer one would seek for a leisure flight read. Looking for something of quality in the same caliber as this author and Cryptonomicon that flows between historical fact, fiction, and bonus points if there’s some kind of quest. Tried reading the Jack West novels and realized I needed just a little more detail and nuisance. Non fiction that reads like fiction also welcomed!
