I’ve recently started getting into cars and would love to understand the science and mechanics of cars but don’t have a knowledge base so it needs to be palatable for someone brand new. Basically something that would explain why torque matters or what a rear differential does and why it matters: super basic concepts.
All I can find are basically car mechanic reference style books that rely on the reader already having a foundation.
