Book series that make me want to binge read them
I just finished the Dresden files including all its short stories and having read +17 or so books as part of a series is something I didn’t think I would end up doing.Other series I really enjoyed were ready player 1 & 2, the king killer chronicles, Harry Potter. I think my taste is somewhat simple
Things I am looking for:
1. strong, interesting main character that you can identify with (eg becoming of age story, becoming powerful, big journey, etc)
2. A world building that is simple but creative. Nothing too complex with a shit ton of lore that goes back millennia. I find some fantasy/sci-fi books hard to read because it is overwhelming. The easier it is to identify with things or the more the story eases you into it, the better
3. In the end, the good guys should win – that’s how I like it lol. Also: Some wholesome aspects occasionally? Dresden files and king killer chronicles definitely had their moments (friendship, love). Also I want to be able to sleep again without getting creeped out, disgusted or enraged. GoT just made me mad.
4. Genre: Fantasy, scifi or something along those lines
5. Ideally a series with a number of books to keep me occupied? But open to stand-alone books too.
What can you recommend? I can’t wait to start something new!!!
