Finished up a really fun novel tonight, this being one written by one James Rollins titled “Subterranean”.
In Antarctica, underneath the ice and earth, a place unlike anything ever seen before has just been discovered. Here a team of handpicked specialists is sent down to explore it. But they weren’t the only ones who set foot down, for the previous team that was sent there never returned.
And they are not alone in the darkness. Soon they will be met with strange wonders and horrors beyond comprehension. Revelations that will bring great changes to the world, and also things that should never have been disturbed.
And also a path that leads to an impossible miracle and an ancient mystery.
This is a really fun and pulpy novel by Rollins. Even though I’ve never really heard of him before this novel of his is certainly enjoyable. Reminds me of a certain work by Jules Verne that I haven’t read yet, that being, “Journey to the Center of the Earth” as that also uses the theme of adventures into the very earth. Still it is a super fun book to read if you like scifi adventures with a bit of horror and thrills thrown into it!
