I know lot of people ask the same but I’m so confused and I’ll go straight to the point. I’m an avid reader. I can read 100+ books a year. I’ve read my entire life but I still struggle to read fast! For example on a Saturday I will start reading at 8am. I will have pauses for eating cleaning etc but by 10pm I will have only read maybe 70-80 pages. I don’t get it! My father read 100 pages in 1 hour. And I focus very well I would say… I have my usual “hearing but not listening the words “ moments but I read pretty okay… I wanna read faster because I wanna be able to do other stuff with my time. In order to read 100 books I end up using all my weekends on reading and I’m into other hobbies too (like chess and running) . Any ideas? I’ve read for years and there is not a week I don’t read 2-3 books. I read standing in the subway, in a Uber, waiting in line etc to be able to catch-up. Then people like my dad can read the count of monte Cristo in a weekend :/. Is there any readers like me who read for years yet their speed is the same or I’m doing something wrong? I thought practice would make me faster…I’m dissaponited, it’s kinda discouraging. Thanks you in advance! 🙂
