I am a bit tired of reading sad, depressing, bleak books, as it seems like many of the better considered novels are (lastly I’ve read the kite runner, blindness, lonesome dove… now I’m reading Demon Copperhead). I like most of them, but I need a change.
Recommend me a good, positive book 🙂 I like almost every genre, so feel free in that regard. (I’d say my favourite genre is fantasy but I read almost anything). Thanks!

If you’re open to very long books, I recommend [The Hands of the Emperor](https://app.thestorygraph.com/books/af2bba9c-8f41-4a3e-b87a-8532a44ccb67) by Victoria Goddard! It’s a beautifully written slice of life book about the personal secretary to the emperor of the world, with a heavy focus on platonic relationships.
Three men in a boat by Jerome K Jerome
Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt!!
When I need an uplifting book, I often turn to romance even though it isn’t my preferred genre – I enjoyed the Brown sister trilogy (each book follows the love life of a different sister).
I also think cozy fantasy is a nice genre to turn to. I liked “The very secret society of irregular witches” and “Legends and Lattes”
A Half Built Garden by Ruthanna Emerys
Any Discworld book …. Just choose one.
Personally I would highly recommend “Guards! Guards!”
Don Quixote
