Only Revolutions and The Familiar vol. 1. I’m a huge fan of house of leaves and the hundred year sword and I’ve false started both of these books in the past. I’m actually really excited to try again.
I remember the last time I tried to read Only Revolutions I had a guy come up to me and ask me what I was reading. I gave him a quick synapsis; it’s a road story about a couple, if you read it front to back it’s his writing, if you flip it upside down and read it back to front it’s hers and there are annotations in the margins about what is happening in the world at the time. He thumbed through it, distorted his face, handed it back to me and just walked off silently.
I was super jazzed for the familier when it came out. I just didn’t get the fact that it’s basically a TV show script.

I own and have read: House of Leaves, Only Revolutions, and a copy of the Fifty Year Sword that I had him sign at a reading.
I own and have NOT read: the Familiar vol. 1 & 2.
Love his work and have made it maybe half way through the Familiar, but since it got cancelled I lost steam. It’s well written and I remember enjoying what I had read. Hope you enjoy it!
