And by the title, I mean where you could almost see the author chuckling to themselves as they wrote the story. Doesn’t matter what genre, (though I am less likely to read romance) just a book where maybe it didn’t have the best plot, the best characters, or the most original ideas, but you could just feel the author having a good time. It really increases my enjoyment of the story when I read a book like that.
(I have read and continue to read the Discworld novels, so Sir Terry Pratchett is both out of the running, and partially the inspiration for this question.)

    1. Unhinged by Vera Valentine – a romance novel about a woman who falls in love with her sentient apartment door

    2. Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman. It just feels like he was having a great time and that carries over into reading it. LitRPG is not a genre I’ve otherwise enjoyed, for that matter, but this series really hits the mark.

    3. I think TJ Klune has fun with his books. I think they *are* good, but I’m reading The Extraordinaries and I think he really has fun writing teenagers and the funny things they say

**The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out His Window and Disappeared** Author was definitely chuckling through the whole writing process.
