Hey fellas! I’ve been racking my brains to remember this book but I can’t for the life of me so I came to the only place I know will answer me correctly xD
Tried searching on Goodreads Google etc but to no avail, so pls help.
A friend had talked extensively about this book and its ideas years back. Here’s what I recall:
By a French author related to psychology or sociology perhaps? Name starts with ‘De…’ something I think.
It’s a book on how the world is a theatre and everyone around is wearing a mask pretending to be someone else, someone different or better. (I’m curious cuz it seems Very much as valid for the Victorians as it is nowadays with all these social media accs with selectively picked good moments, days and angles, hiding the ugliness behind all of us)
The book was named, as stated in the title, sth along the lines of ‘lê monde du theatre” but completely unrelated to theatre genre iirc
