A great novel doesn’t necessarily have great pacing. Though it is important, it’s not the end all be all of writing. Some great books have terrible pacing (looking at you, Dostoevsky).
However, I’m curious to think as to what y’all think are books with fantastic pacing. Ones that come to mind for me are Fight Club (short), Never Let Me Go (medium) and Gone Girl (long).
Does anyone else want to share their thoughts or have recommendations?
