Open to any genre and style, but something that has similar themes as Wild by Cheryl Strayed or Circe. I didn’t initially like Wild that much after I finished it. But 2 months later, it’s really stuck with me for the way she proved to herself that she’s capable of being her own anchor. I loved how she shows up for herself repeatedly day after day, even in the face of great loss and multiple personal failings.
Similarly, Circe reclaims her agency even though life hasn’t been nice to her (although I didn’t feel as emotionally connected to this one)

If you feel like a well-developed fantasy novel:
Paladin of Souls by Lois McMaster Bujold
If you can find this old, out of print YA novel: Winter of Fire by Sherryl Jordan
If you don’t mind an action-packed science fiction romantic adventure story (with some violence/assault): Cordelia’s Honor duology by Lois McMaster Bujold
If you feel like a “if The Golden Girls were assassins” book: Killers of a Certain Age by Deanna Raybourn
If you want a science fiction/first contact story about a stubborn 70-year-old colonist who finds herself late in life: Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon
If you want a light, silly Hallmark/Lifetime-esque story about a woman who gets a divorce and moves into a “haunted” house: Magical Midlife Madness by KF Breene
Books to avoid: After reading Wild, I tried Eat Pray Love and Untamed. They came off as too superficial and self-congratulatory to me.
Weyward by Emilia Hart
The Witch’s Heart
*The Hacking of the American Mind* –Robert Lustig
