My son (10, autistic) loves to be read to sleep, and at bedtime he doesn’t like books with much activity in them.
He’s not into magic or fantasy stories, and doesn’t like conflict. Realistic old fashioned settings are his jam.
He LOVES slice of life books, especially those that narrate children living a more rustic lifestyle. He’s loved the Little House series and many Boxcar Children books, particularly for the descriptions of cooking meals and tidying things up.
Any recommendations out there?
