I’ve come to sort of a standstill on what to read next and I’ve decided to seek your expert advice. I’m looking for a book where the main character is ruthless, perhaps this character is **evil, misguided, or maybe even an anti-hero**. I’m probably looking for a fantasy or sci-fi book but contemporary is perfectly fine too.
Some examples of characters who I believe fit this vision I have in mind:
**Tywin Lannister** \- Trying to secure his dynasty
**Anakin Skywalker** \- Slaughters the raiders because they killed his mother, turns to the dark side to try and save his wife
**Voldemort -** Attempting to take over the world
**Jonathan Irons (CoD)** \- Attempts to take over the world using his own private military
**Coriolanus Snow** \- Dictator in the original novels, the ruthless narcissist in the prequel
