Hi all! I am looking for non-fiction books on a couple huge topics, interrelated by the people fighting for their rights.
\- Union history
\- Forced labor in work camps/prison
\- Revolutions (particularly the French revolution)
I want to know more about how ordinary people like myself made a difference, and how people behave and cooperate despite the powers that be oppressing them. I also want to learn about examples that were considered great successes, versus revolution that bought freedom but at a very heavy price.
I realize this is a very broad category, but if it strikes a bell please suggest away!
