1. Close your eyes, pretend you never read the comment or saw the video.
2. Convince yourself they were lying, maybe they were just trying to trick you to throw you off the plot
3. Anger! Why oh WHY! Did they have to say that?!?!!?!! Where was the spoiler warning!!! I made it so clear I hadn’t finished the book yet.
4. Rationalize that you probably could have guessed that was gonna happen. The spoiler wasn’t that bad and it won’t affect your reading experience.
5. Cry.
6. Cry some more because you get really attached to these words on a page
7. Accept that you would have never guessed the spoiler, it will impact the experience but keep reading anyway
I just got a major character death spoiler, feeling unwell. Scrolling through the subreddits of series you haven’t finished yet it always a slippery slope tho.
