That Scene. We all know which one I’m talking about. It soured a lot of people on the book, myself included. I just can’t think of all the things I loved about that book without thinking of That Scene.
The question I have is, if there was a version of the book where That Scene was removed or edited or changed, so that the theme of growing up and maturing still came through, would you prefer it? Or would you rather keep the original, weird and uncomfortable as it is?
