Hello all! Any recommendations for some fantastic dystopian novels? Just re-read the hunger games and it’s resurfaced my middle days when hunger games, divergent and matched were all the rage. TIA!
Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood is a fantasic speculative fiction novel worth a look.

Agree with the recommendation for Margaret Atwood’s Maddaddam trilogy (1st book is Oryx and Crake). I also recommend M.R. Carey’s Ramparts trilogy (1st book is The Book of Koli).

The Fifth Wave series is fantastic.
I also loved those three series and dystopian books.
If you haven’t already read them here’s some semi- similar series I read around the same time. They’re all YA dystopian.
Delirium by Lauren Oliver
Numbers by Rachel Ward
XVI by Julia Karr (only read the first one out of the series but enjoyed it)
The Gender Game by Bella Forrest (I read them all but the series does go on a bit and could have ended way sooner)
Brave New World Aldous Huxley
Wool by Hugh Howey is a page turner
{{Walkaway by Cory Doctorow}}
{{The Grace Year by Kim Liggett}}
Farenheit 451
A brave new world
1984
The road
Snow Crash by Neal Stephenson
Parable of the Sower by Octavia E. Butler
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
City of Thieves is fantastic.
*Battle Royale*
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld is a slightly different YA dystopia take. It’s a fun read.
Never Let Me Go or Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro
The Giver
Parker Peevyhouse has a few. {{The Echo Room}} is my favorite.
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep
Philip K. Dick
Legend by Marie Lu. Set in future warring America divided into two factions, follows two teens on opposite sides.
The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. Aliens invade earth and a teenager searches for her brother.
If you like Hunger Game vibes, these series are very similar: Red Rising, Divergent, and Legend
The Breeders series by Katie French
The Forest of Hands and Teeth series by Carrie Ryan
Brilliant Darkness series by A.G Henley
