[Crying in H Mart](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/54814676) by Michelle Zauner gave me similar vibes to I’m Glad My Mom Died. Zauner had a complicated relationship with her mom and also has to deal with the fallout after her mother’s death.

Wavewalker by Suzanne Heywood. When she was a kid in England, her parents decided to sell the house, buy a boat and sail down to the South Pacific. This did not make for happy families at times.
