I’ve always been told I’m someone’s Cliff Booth but I’m just as insecure as Rick Dalton.
As a lover of movies. I knew I just had to buy tarantino’s first paperback. I saw the movie when it came out.
But I overall fell in love with this book. I was excited to read it when I got home every day. The setting, the pop culture references, and situations were all a good time.
It truly follows Rick’s life more than Sharon. Some personal insights by Cliff Booth. You still get the story of Manson and the hippies but in the book it’s more of the dark side of 1969 LA.
My favorite part here is that we get the thoughts of all these characters and overall this book will make you smile it’s pretty funny.
I was eager reading for the big reveal of the fight scene at the end but it really skips all that and changes the narrative that Rick should be more grateful without all the parts of the violence that makes Tarantino movies feel great.
