It’s 1:49 am and I just finished Eleanor and park. It was so sad it actually made me cry. There were some things that I didn’t like mainly how much they would randomly focus on parks race which has nothing to do with the plot in my opinion. But overall it was pretty great I felt so connected to the characters I also wish that we got to see more like what happened to her siblings and mom, does she ever write to park again?

I loved the book and cried through it. What really got me about the book was that all the signs were pointing at the step dad and i still gasped at the revelation. It sounded like the uncle helped get everyone out. I’d like to think that Eleanor’s letter to her mom helped persuade them to leave. There’s a line in the book about toys no longer being on the lawn so i saw that as the kids had moved. Also, the last line in the book about park getting a postcard was a sign to me that Eleanor finally wrote back after her life was no longer in upheaval.
