I’m looking for a stand alone or short series that has a down on her luck female main character that is somehow thrown into a supernatural setting. I’d like there to be romance/spice but have it not be the main focus. I have yet to find a fantasy series I can vibe with and wasn’t able to get into Sara J Maas (sorry 😅).

You could try the Crow Investigations series by Sarah Painter? I’m not sure how many there are but you could just try the first one and see if you’re feeling it or not, maybe.
If you’re okay with Gothic horror, you could try The Hacienda (Isabel Cañas). It matches your request really well.

Another series I loved is Magical Midlife Madness by KF Breene. The FMC is a recently divorced woman in her 40s that inherits a magical house.
