I’m looking for inspiration for a character I’m writing and I’m thinking like Cersei Lannister level pride, vindictiveness. Physical, political, mental, emotional, and magical violence are all welcome.
I prefer fantasy but this is for inspiration so I’m good with any genre
Thanks!

I know this is a book sub but I really want to point out that if you like Cersei, you’ll love Atia of the Julii in HBO’s Rome. There is another character in the show who is forced to act like this as well (by Atia).
I wanna say these are loosely based on *Masters of Rome* by Colleen McCullough but almost certainly the women characters are embellished or made up.
Iron Widow by Xiren Jay Zhao.
I’m not sure if Cersei is a good point of comparison for Wu Zeitan. I can’t really picture Cersei Lannister charging forward in the full expectation that she’ll die taking vengeance then building up so much momentum that she moves on to bigger and tougher enemies instead.
Likewise, the Scholamance series by Naomi Novik, starting with A Deadly Education. Galadriel Higgins doesn’t particularly want to be a storm of destruction across the foundations of magical society, but that’s what the school seems to be pushing for, and when all you have is the hammer of the gods, every problem eventually looks like maybe it can be smashed.
Belladonna by Katen Moline
