To start I’m just saying that I haven’t finished the book and I’ve really only just started it, but man!!! I just finished the part where Mr. Xxx SHOOTS ALL 4 CREW MATES AND THEN HIMSELF!!!!! While reading that I was gasping and freaking out. I really don’t understand why this book is so underrated. While I understand I’m nowhere close to the end it’s just baffling to me how seriously underrated Bradbury is. He’s up in the running for my favorite author, and when I talk about his books to other people they just act like his books are stupid and dull. In my opinion he should be ranked as one of the best authors of all time.

This has always been my all-time favorite Bradbury book. No matter how many times I read it, I am filled with such sadness. His ability to create such pathos is astounding. Few other authors have done that to me (Butler and Le Guin to name some of my other favorites who can bring me to tears).
This book was what got me into reading SciFi, I read it in Chinese when I was about 8 or 9. It is on my top 10 based on nostalgia alone.
I hope Folio Society does a reprint of this, I will buy that instantly.
Also, for the love of god, do Hyperion Cantos. I literally don’t care about the cost.
