I just rewatched all 5 seasons of Fargo and have been going through the Coen Bros filmography. I love the kind of whimsy and the seemingly predestined fates of characters combined with bursts of violence and raw energy. The closest book I can think of for this is Dog of the South by Charles Portis but of course the Coens adapted True Grit so theyre familiar with their similarities to Portis as well. Do any books fit this kind of vibe?
