I’m searching for this specific art book that I read as a kid. It was from the 90s or early 2000s I’d say. The front page had a nice colorful page of coral like structure, characters with tubes for mouths, and just a bunch of original art. The artist himself had curly black hair, was on the heftier side, might’ve had glasses. But the book essentially taught you how to draw like him and the methods he used. I’d love to read it again
