Hi, everyone! A couple of years ago I read the Anne of Green Gables book series, however it was only a couple of months ago that I was able to get my hands on the latest issue, Rilla of Ingleside. I knew beforehand that it would have a different tone because it was set in WW1, but I honestly didn’t enjoy it and struggled a lot to finish it. I understand that in order for it to be published and at the time in which it was written there would be political propaganda, but I feel that it overshadowed the family’s story. Being the worst treated in history Walter.
But what are your thoughts? I’ve done a little research but I’d like to know what else is behind this book, any context and opinion would be interesting to hear.
