I don’t know how to describe what I’m feeling right now after reading the last few lines of this book. I never thought I would be intrigued by a story so much even when the first few lines of the book summarize the story of the main character; William Stoner enters the university, a seminar on English literature inspires him to become a teacher, he marries a wrong woman, he lives a quiet uneventful life and he dies.
The novel made me think about what is the significance of an individual life, a life of ups and downs, joys and sorrows. Maybe I am relating to it so much because I also am living an uneventful life like Stoner.
